Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, specializing in American Chinese cuisine. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations worldwide. With a commitment to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences, Panda Express continually strives to inspire and support its associates while maintaining strong family values. The company places a high emphasis on both professional and personal development, offering a supportive and dynamic work environment that fosters growth and success.

The company is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team. The role offered is for a Store Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a single Panda Express location. This is a pivotal position that requires strong leadership skills, as the store manager is tasked with hiring, managing, and directing associates to achieve financial goals and ensure high-quality guest experiences. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving the store’s success by maintaining operational excellence, delivering exceptional service, and fostering a positive work culture.

The employment type is full-time, and Panda Express provides an intensive leadership training program lasting eight or more weeks to prepare new store managers for their roles. The training encompasses paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship, and ongoing support from the Panda community, ensuring managers are well-equipped to lead their teams effectively. Candidates should expect a fast-paced work environment that demands adaptability, communication skills, and the ability to manage conflicts and difficult situations professionally.

The Store Manager will be expected to work within a flexible schedule, including weekends, and must be willing to work at Panda Express locations within a 50-mile radius. A high school diploma is required, along with Serve Safe certification to ensure food safety standards are maintained. The role involves significant physical requirements, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. The work environment may involve exposure to heat, steam, and noise, demanding resilience and stamina.

Panda Express is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace accommodations. The company is proud of its commitment to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace where every associate can thrive.

Joining Panda Express as a Store Manager offers not only a chance to lead and develop your managerial skills but also an opportunity to be part of a respected and expanding brand with a strong culture of care and commitment to its team members.
