Job Description

Panda Express, founded in Glendale, California in 1983, has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Express is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive, family-oriented culture that inspires its associates to enhance their lives both professionally and personally. As a leader in the fast-casual dining industry, Panda Express blends tradition and innovation, emphasizing strong values, community impact, and associate development.

Panda Express is currently seeking experienced leaders to join their store management team. This role offers a unique opportunity to take charge of the operation of a single store, leading a diverse team to achieve financial goals and deliver outstanding guest experiences every day. The store manager position is pivotal in upholding the brand's reputation and operational excellence. The company is 100 percent committed to the personal and professional growth of its associates, providing paid Store Management Leadership Training, ongoing mentorship, and strong community support within the Panda family.

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including hiring, mentoring, and directing associates, managing budgets, and promoting a positive and productive work environment. To prepare you for success, Panda Express offers an intensive leadership training program lasting eight weeks or more. This program equips new managers with the skills necessary to drive store success and ensure customer satisfaction. The position requires a high level of adaptability, a proactive leadership style, and a passion for delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

This role demands flexibility, as managers may be required to work within a 50-mile radius of different stores and operate on varied schedules, including weekends. Additionally, candidates should be Serve Safe certified, aligning with the company’s high standards for food safety. Panda Express values associates who can thrive in dynamic environments, maintain effective communication skills, and resolve conflicts efficiently. The position involves physical demands such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, consistent with the fast-casual restaurant setting.

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity. The company actively complies with federal, state, and local laws related to workplace accommodations and encourages all qualified individuals to apply. Whether you are looking for a career change or seeking to advance within the restaurant management field, Panda Express offers a rewarding and supportive environment where your skills and growth are prioritized. Join Panda Express and become part of a strong, family-focused team that has thrived since 1983.
