Job Description

Panda Express, founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States, with close to 2,800 locations worldwide. The company is well-known for delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences by creating a work environment where its associates are inspired to improve their lives. Panda Express embraces family values and provides a supportive community culture that focuses on the professional and personal growth of every associate. With a strong commitment to inclusivity and equal employment opportunity, Panda Express is dedicated to creating a respectful and diverse workplace that prohibits discrimination based on sex, race, color, religion, national origin, and other protected characteristics.

Currently, Panda Express is looking for experienced leaders to join their store management team as Store Managers. This full-time role offers paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship, and continuous support from the Panda community, emphasizing the company's investment in the success of its leaders. The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operation of a single restaurant location, managing the hiring, directing, and development of store associates to ensure both financial success and the delivery of outstanding customer experiences. To prepare for this important role, new managers undergo an 8-week or longer comprehensive store leadership training program that equips them with the skills necessary for managing a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant environment.

The responsibilities of a Panda Express Store Manager involve overseeing daily store operations, achieving financial goals, and leading a team that consistently upholds the company's standards for quality food and customer service. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and the ability to work within a 50-mile radius of a store location. Store managers are expected to maintain high standards of food safety and operational efficiency; they must be Serve Safe certified. The role also demands physical stamina due to the fast-paced nature of food service work, which includes lifting, standing for extended periods, and adapting to a noisy, busy kitchen environment with limited storage space.

Panda Express values its employees' ability to communicate effectively, manage conflicts, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work setting. As part of the company's commitment to equal opportunity and inclusivity, reasonable accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities to support their participation in the hiring process and ongoing employment. Overall, joining Panda Express as a Store Manager presents an excellent career path for individuals passionate about leadership, customer service excellence, and working in an energetic, growth-focused restaurant environment.
