Job Description
Panda Express is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, founded in 1983 in Glendale, California. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Express has built a reputation for delivering high-quality Asian dining experiences to its customers. The company focuses on fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that emphasizes professional growth, personal development, and strong family values. Panda Express is proud to be an organization that impacts both its team members and the communities it serves, offering equal employment opportunities and complying with all federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace accommodations.
Currently, Panda Express is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join their management team as Store Managers. This role is essential to the operational success of each store, where you will oversee daily activities and lead a diverse team to achieve financial goals while maintaining the company’s high standards for guest satisfaction. The Store Manager will be responsible for managing staff, directing operational procedures, and ensuring that the dining experience exceeds customer expectations. To support new managers, Panda Express provides an extensive paid Store Management Leadership Training program lasting eight or more weeks, which includes mentorship and ongoing support from the Panda community.
As a Store Manager, you will be entrusted with the full responsibility of running a single store, including hiring and training associates, managing schedules, and monitoring inventory and food safety standards. The position requires strong leadership, effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment. The role demands flexibility in working hours, including weekends, and the ability to work at a store within a 50-mile radius to ensure operational needs are met. Candidates should be Serve Safe certified, reflecting a commitment to food safety and sanitation procedures.
The work environment in Panda Express stores can be fast-paced and physically demanding. Managers and associates alike are expected to maintain high energy while working in kitchens that are often hot and noisy. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting items up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive tasks with precision and speed. The company recognizes these challenges and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure all employees can succeed.
Joining the Panda Express team means becoming part of a larger family that values your growth, offers career advancement opportunities, and promotes a positive workplace atmosphere. The company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures a welcoming space for all employees regardless of background. This store manager role is ideal for individuals passionate about leadership, customer service, and operational excellence in the fast-casual dining industry. With competitive compensation, comprehensive training, and the chance to be part of a renowned brand, Panda Express provides a career path filled with potential and personal satisfaction.
