Job Description
Panda Express is a leading Asian dining restaurant chain and the largest American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. Founded in Glendale, California, in 1983, Panda Express has grown to nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, establishing a strong presence not only in the United States but internationally as well. As a family-owned business, Panda Express takes pride in its commitment to family values and fostering a work environment that inspires associates to improve their lives personally and professionally. Panda Express embodies a culture of inclusion and continuous development, making it an attractive employer for individuals eager to grow within the hospitality and food service industry.
The company is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team. The role is a full-time Store Manager position, offering paid Store Management Leadership Training, comprehensive mentorship, and a supportive community dedicated to your success. Working as a Store Manager at Panda Express means taking charge of all aspects of store operations, including hiring and managing associates, achieving financial goals, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your leadership will directly influence the performance and success of a single Panda Express store.
This role involves an initial 8 or more weeks of store leadership training, ensuring you are well-equipped to manage the fast-paced environment, meet operational standards, and cultivate a productive team culture. Panda Express believes in equipping its Store Managers with the tools and skills necessary to succeed, fostering an environment where innovation, exceptional service, and teamwork are prioritized. Through strategic direction and hands-on management, you will hold responsibility for operational excellence, team development, and customer satisfaction. The company also embraces diversity and equal opportunity, promoting a workplace where all associates can thrive regardless of their background.
The position requires flexibility to work within a 50-mile radius of the store's location with varying shifts, including weekends. Store Managers will handle food safety protocols, with Serve Safe certification being a key requirement. The work environment is dynamic and sometimes physically demanding, with employees expected to work amidst hot kitchens, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. Panda Express seeks leaders who can manage such conditions efficiently while providing effective communication and conflict resolution to create a collaborative and efficient workplace.
Panda Express is committed to ADA policies and accommodating employees and candidates with disabilities, ensuring fairness throughout the hiring process and the work environment. This dedication underlines the company's inclusive culture and respect for all individuals. Being part of Panda Express means being part of an organization that values hard work, innovation, respect, and the opportunity to grow within a supportive family-oriented business structure. If you are ready to step into a leadership role that challenges and rewards you in equal measure, Panda Express offers a promising and enriching career path.
