This culture fosters teamwork, leadership, and a passion for achieving both financial goals and exceptional guest experiences. The company is also an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to diversity and inclusivity, ensuring equal employment opportunities regardless of gender, race, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.

The Store Manager role at Panda Express is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a single store. The Store Manager ensures the store meets its operational goals, maintains quality standards, and upholds the Panda Express brand reputation. Store Managers receive extensive support and training to prepare them for success. The company provides an 8-week (or longer) paid Store Management Leadership Training program designed to equip new managers with the skills and knowledge needed to lead effectively. This structured training covers operational procedures, leadership development, and the practical aspects of managing store financials and staff. Throughout their career, Store Managers benefit from ongoing mentorship and a supportive Panda community focused on their growth and achievement.

Key responsibilities include hiring and managing staff, directing store operations to achieve profit goals, maintaining compliance with food safety standards (including Serve Safe certification), and ensuring superior guest experiences. The role requires flexibility, resilience, and strong communication skills, as Store Managers often work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be willing to relocate within a 50-mile radius from their home to meet the company’s operational needs.

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring employees to handle hot and cold food preparation, use kitchen equipment safely, and remain on their feet for long hours. Store Managers must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, adapting to dynamic priorities, managing difficult situations, and fostering a collaborative and efficient workplace culture.

Choosing a career as a Store Manager at Panda Express means joining a company with a rich legacy, a commitment to employee development, and a culture that values family and community.
