Job Description
Panda Express is a prestigious and rapidly expanding American Chinese restaurant concept, proudly recognized as the largest family-owned chain of its kind in the United States. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown into a beloved brand with close to 2,800 locations globally, known for delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences. The company operates with a strong commitment to family values and the professional and personal development of its associates, fostering an inclusive working environment where employees feel valued and empowered to achieve their full potential. Panda Express emphasizes mentorship, ongoing training, and a supportive community culture, enabling its team members to flourish both personally and professionally.
This role is specifically for an experienced and passionate Store Manager who will take full responsibility for the successful operation of a single Panda Express restaurant. As a Store Manager, you will be entrusted with pivotal tasks such as hiring, directing, and managing a diverse team of associates, with the primary goal of achieving financial objectives while consistently delivering excellent guest experiences. Your leadership will directly influence the atmosphere, efficiency, and profitability of your store, which means your efforts are vital to the restaurant’s success. To prepare candidates effectively for this dynamic and influential position, Panda Express offers an intensive paid Store Management Leadership Training program lasting eight or more weeks. This comprehensive training ensures that you will be equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in managing both people and operations.
The role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will learn to oversee all aspects of store functions, including inventory management, quality control, team development, and customer service excellence. Additionally, the Store Manager will balance operational needs while fostering a positive work culture, ensuring that every team member feels motivated and supported. Flexibility is key, as the work schedule often includes opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays tailored to business demands. Candidates will be required to be willing to relocate within a 50-mile radius of their home to ensure alignment with Panda Express’s store needs.
Panda Express also highlights its dedication to inclusivity and accessibility. It adheres to ADA compliance and offers reasonable accommodations during the hiring process and employment to ensure that all qualified applicants can participate fully. The company’s commitment to diversity and equal opportunity reflects its family-oriented ethos and desire to create a welcoming environment for associates and guests alike.
By choosing to embark on a career journey as a Store Manager with Panda Express, you are not only joining a thriving restaurant chain but are also becoming part of a family that values growth, hard work, and mutual respect. The role is perfect for those eager to develop leadership capabilities, impact their community positively, and take pride in leading a well-established and respected brand in the food service industry.
