Job Description

Panda Express is a well-established leader in the fast-casual dining industry, known for its commitment to delivering high-quality Asian-inspired cuisine and exceptional guest experiences. Founded in Glendale, California in 1983, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, with nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. This impressive growth demonstrates the company’s dedication to expanding its footprint while maintaining the core values of family, community, and excellence. The organization places a strong emphasis on the professional and personal development of its associates, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that values mentorship, continuous learning, and team success.

Joining Panda Express as a Store Manager offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and thriving company that truly cares about its employees’ growth and success. This role is focused on overseeing the operation of a single store, ensuring that all aspects from hiring and training associates to achieving financial goals and delivering outstanding customer service are managed efficiently. As a Store Manager, you will be entrusted with creating a positive and productive work culture within your store, motivating your team members, and driving operational excellence. The company supports its store managers with an extensive paid Store Management Leadership Training program that lasts at least 8 weeks, equipping new leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this position.

This role requires a flexible and proactive leader who can adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for directing your team effectively, managing daily store operations, enforcing food safety standards including holding a Serve Safe certification, and maintaining compliance with company policies. The position requires availability to work a flexible schedule that includes opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the business's operational needs. Additionally, candidates must be willing to relocate within a 50-mile radius of their current residence to ensure the best fit for both the individual and the store.

Panda Express is proud to embrace equal opportunity employment and is committed to providing accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. The company makes efforts to accommodate employees with disabilities and encourages applicants who require special assistance during the hiring process to make their needs known. This commitment reflects Panda Express’s dedication to creating a supportive and equitable environment for all its associates.

In summary, the Store Manager role at Panda Express is a rewarding leadership position within a prestigious and growing restaurant group that values family culture, community involvement, and associate development. The role offers structured training, ongoing support, and the chance to lead a team in delivering exceptional dining experiences while advancing your career in the hospitality industry.
