Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, specializing in American Chinese cuisine. Established in 1983 in Glendale, California, it has grown into the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations globally. Panda Express prides itself on delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a culture rooted in family values and community impact. The company is committed to the professional and personal growth of its associates, offering a supportive environment that nurtures talent from within. This dedication is evident through their paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship programs, and a strong Panda community that champions success and development.

As a Store Manager at Panda Express, you play a critical role in steering the operations of a single store location. You will oversee hiring, managing, and directing store associates to meet financial objectives while ensuring that every guest receives an outstanding dining experience. The position demands leadership that balances operational excellence with exceptional customer service. To prepare you for this vital role, Panda Express provides an extensive eight-week or longer store leadership training program designed to equip new managers with all the necessary skills and knowledge.

This store management opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about leading teams, driving business success, and thriving in a fast-paced environment. The role requires adaptability to flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and a willingness to relocate within a 50-mile radius to meet business needs. Safety and food quality are paramount; therefore, candidates must hold a Serve Safe certification, underscoring Panda's commitment to food safety standards. The physical demands include handling busy kitchen environments that may be hot with steam and noise, standing for long hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and efficiently managing kitchen tools and operations without compromising service quality.

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., the parent company behind Panda Express, stands firmly as an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace. The company prohibits discrimination based on numerous protected characteristics and complies with all legal standards regarding workplace accommodations. This reflects Panda's broader mission to create a culture where diversity is respected, and all associates feel valued and empowered.

Joining Panda Express as a Store Manager offers more than a job; it provides a career path filled with growth, learning, and the chance to be part of a company that cares deeply about its people and communities. If you are driven by leadership, continuous development, and delivering excellent customer experiences, this role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic and supportive environment.
