Job Description
Panda Express is a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, specializing in American Chinese cuisine. Established in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, this innovative and expanding company is dedicated to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a culture that values family, community, and personal growth. As a member of the Panda Restaurant Group, Panda Express prides itself on its commitment to the professional and personal development of its associates by offering industry-leading training, mentorship programs, and a supportive work environment designed to help every team member succeed.
Panda Express is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team. The role of Store Manager is central to the success of each Panda Express location, requiring strong leadership capabilities, a passion for customer service, and the ability to drive store performance to meet both financial and operational goals. Store Managers are entrusted with the overall operation of their store, including managing day-to-day activities, hiring and training associates, directing teams towards achieving sales targets, and ensuring a consistently exceptional guest experience. In recognition of the importance of this role, Panda Express provides a comprehensive paid Store Management Leadership Training program lasting eight weeks or more, equipping new managers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to lead their teams effectively.
This dynamic leadership position demands flexibility and dedication. Store Managers must be willing and able to work a varied schedule, including weekends, and must be prepared to manage a store within a 50-mile radius of their location. Panda Express places a high emphasis on food safety; thus, all Store Managers must be Serve Safe certified to maintain the highest standards of sanitation and safety throughout kitchen operations. The fast-paced and physically demanding nature of the restaurant environment requires managers to be physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a sometimes hot and noisy setting. Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changes and manage conflicts are essential attributes for success in this role.
At Panda Express, diversity and inclusion are core values. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer that strives to create a workplace free from discrimination and committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals. This inclusive environment ensures that team members from all backgrounds can thrive. If you are looking for a rewarding career in a supportive, family-oriented culture with opportunities for advancement and professional growth, joining Panda Express as a Store Manager could be the perfect fit for you. Take the next step in your leadership journey while making a meaningful impact on guests and your community.
