Job Description

Panda Express is a prominent American fast-food restaurant chain known for offering a wide variety of delicious and authentic Asian cuisine. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown into the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations worldwide. What sets Panda Express apart is its dedication not just to quality food but also to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for its associates. The company values family principles deeply and prides itself on building an organization where people are inspired to better their lives both professionally and personally. Employees at Panda Express are part of a community that fosters growth, mentorship, and leadership development.

Joining the Panda Express team as a Store Manager means becoming a leader responsible for the end-to-end operations of a single restaurant location. This role is pivotal to ensuring the success of the store by overseeing hiring, managing, and directing associates to achieve both financial objectives and exceptional guest experiences. The Store Manager plays a key role in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency that align with Panda Express’s mission to deliver outstanding Asian dining experiences.

To support new managers in achieving success, Panda Express offers an extensive paid Store Management Leadership Training program that lasts eight or more weeks. This program equips candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge required to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced foodservice environment. Store Managers are prepared to lead teams effectively through training, mentorship, and ongoing support from the broader Panda community. The role demands strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, all driven by business needs.

A successful Store Manager at Panda Express must be adaptable and able to manage various responsibilities, ranging from food safety compliance, including being Serve Safe certified, to handling the physical demands of the job, such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Panda Express fosters an inclusive workplace environment that is committed to ADA compliance, ensuring fair treatment for all employees and providing reasonable accommodations when needed.

This opportunity is ideal for those seeking a career with an industry leader that values personal and professional development. Panda Express encourages diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of gender, race, religion, national origin, and other protected categories. If you are ready to take your career to the next level with a company that is 'Panda Strong' and focused on making a positive impact in the communities they serve, this store management position is a perfect fit.
