Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., established in 1983 in Glendale, California, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations globally, Panda Express has become synonymous with delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a strong sense of community and family values within its organization. As a pioneer in the fast-casual dining industry, Panda Express remains committed to both professional and personal development of its associates, exemplifying their dedication to creating a positive work environment where every team member feels valued and inspired to grow.

Panda Express is actively seeking experienced leaders to join their store management team. The position of Store Manager plays a crucial role in the success of each individual restaurant. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a single store. This includes hiring, managing, and directing associates to achieve financial goals and uphold the brand’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Leading your team effectively ensures the smooth operation of the store and drives business growth through outstanding customer service and operational excellence.

To support your success in this role, Panda Express provides an extensive and structured leadership training program lasting eight or more weeks. This paid Store Management Leadership Training not only equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge but also offers mentorship and continuous support from the broader Panda community. This inclusive, supportive culture ensures that new managers have the tools they need to thrive in their roles.

The position requires flexibility, as Store Managers may be asked to relocate within a 50-mile radius of their home and must be available to work varied schedules, including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This adaptability reflects the dynamic nature of the restaurant business, where operational needs can vary significantly.

Health and safety are paramount at Panda Express, thus candidates must be Serve Safe certified, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Store Manager role also demands the physical ability to perform job-related tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in fast-paced, often noisy environments with high temperatures typically found in kitchen settings.

Panda Express is proud of its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, the company maintains a strict non-discrimination policy on the basis of sex, gender identity, race, religion, disability, and other protected characteristics. Accessibility and accommodations are readily provided to qualified applicants during the hiring process to ensure an equitable candidate experience.

Joining Panda Express as a Store Manager means becoming part of a welcoming family where your leadership directly contributes to shaping the future of the brand and enhancing the dining experience for customers across the globe. With strong professional development support, meaningful benefits, and a company culture rooted in respect and family values, Panda Express offers a fulfilling career path for individuals passionate about management and the foodservice industry.
