Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffeehouse industry, renowned for its commitment to crafting the world’s finest coffee and fostering meaningful moments of connection. Founded with the mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, Starbucks has grown into a vibrant community hub where customers can enjoy expertly brewed coffee in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Starbucks is not just a coffee retailer; it is a company dedicated to creating a culture of belonging, inclusivity, and respect for diversity. This commitment extends beyond its products to its employees, known as partners, who are empowered and supported through comprehensive growth opportunities and industry-leading benefits.

As a coffeehouse leader at Starbucks, you step into a dynamic role that goes far beyond managing daily operations. You lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences by creating a positive environment where every cup of coffee sparks connection. This role offers a unique blend of leadership, operational expertise, and customer engagement. As a leader, you will foster a culture of collaboration, coaching, and continuous improvement, ensuring that your team members are motivated and equipped to succeed. Your role is pivotal in representing Starbucks’ brand values, creating a space where the community feels welcomed and valued, and driving business success through a sales-focused entrepreneurial mindset.

This position demands a proactive leader with strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, equipped to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting. You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, overseeing store operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and service. The opportunity also includes building lasting relationships within your community and contributing to a company that values people, quality, and meaningful impact.

Starbucks heavily invests in the growth journey of its partners, offering professional development and substantial benefits that support both personal and career advancement. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance options, paid parental leave, vacation and sick leave, holiday pay, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and educational opportunities such as the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, which provides full tuition coverage for first-time bachelor’s degree completion through Arizona State University’s online program.

This full-time role regularly requires more than 40 hours per week and includes variable hours such as early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the vibrant and demanding nature of the coffeehouse business. Starbucks values diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants with disabilities. The compensation for this role varies based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity, ensuring fair and competitive pay practices.

Joining Starbucks as a coffeehouse leader means you are connecting with something bigger than just a job. You become part of an iconic brand that is dedicated to creating community spaces, fostering personal growth, and celebrating the craft of coffee. If you have a passion for people, sales, and leadership with a heart for service, this role offers a platform to thrive and make a meaningful impact every day.
