Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain dedicated to crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful connections one cup at a time. Founded over four decades ago, Starbucks has evolved from a single store in Seattle to a renowned international brand, synonymous with quality, community, and ethical sourcing. The company prides itself on fostering a warm and welcoming environment where customers can enjoy not only premium coffee but also a space that nurtures connection and comfort. Their commitment to social responsibility, sustainability, and community engagement is as integral to its mission as the exceptional beverages and experiences it delivers. Starbucks operates thousands of stores worldwide and remains a leader in the coffeehouse industry, respected for its innovative approach to customer service, product development, and employee care. Starbucks values its partners (employees) as vital contributors to the company’s success and cultivates a culture of collaboration, growth, and mutual respect.
This particular role is designed for a coffeehouse leader who takes on more than just running a business; you become a pivotal part of creating moments of joy and connection within the local community. The position requires someone with a passion for people and coffee, a leadership mentality, and the ability to mentor and coach team partners with professionalism and empathy. This role is not only about overseeing daily operations but also about inspiring a team to uphold Starbucks’ high standards of customer service and operational excellence. The successful candidate will navigate a dynamic retail environment that demands organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset focused on achieving sales goals and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
At Starbucks, the commitment to partner development is paramount. Leaders are empowered through continuous developmental experiences that support career progression and personal growth. Compensation for this role is competitive and based on factors such as experience, skills, and location, ensuring fairness and equity. Employment is full time and involves working variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the retail coffee industry.
Starbucks strongly supports diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, or veteran status. The company also offers reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities, demonstrating its commitment to inclusive hiring practices.
In addition to the rewarding work environment, Starbucks offers an industry-leading benefits package. This includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and voluntary insurance benefits; short- and long-term disability coverage; paid parental leave; paid vacation starting from the date of hire; sick time accrual; paid holidays; and personal days. Starbucks also provides financial wellness programs such as a 401(k) plan with employer match, a discounted stock purchase program, and access to equity through the Starbucks Bean Stock program. Additionally, partners have access to educational benefits, including 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program, student loan management resources, and other learning opportunities. Backup care and DACA reimbursement further support partners’ well-being.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals ready to grow both personally and professionally while making a tangible impact in a community-first environment. If you have retail or customer service management experience, or bring military service leadership to the table, and you’re driven by a strong work ethic and a desire to lead with heart and craft, Starbucks invites you to join their team and connect with something bigger.
