Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain, known for its commitment to crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for customers around the world. As a leader in the coffeehouse industry, Starbucks champions a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every cup of coffee is an opportunity to spark connection and community. The company is dedicated to fostering growth and development in its team members, called partners, empowering them with exceptional training, career advancement opportunities, and comprehensive industry-leading benefits. Emphasizing not only quality and value but also connection, Starbucks is more than just a coffee brand—it is a community hub that brings people together through shared experiences.
The role of a coffeehouse leader at Starbucks centers around managing and leading a dynamic team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while maintaining operational excellence. This leadership position demands not just business acumen but also the ability to inspire and mentor partners, ensuring the coffeehouse is a place where both customers and staff feel valued and supported. Leaders at Starbucks work closely with their teams to provide guidance, foster teamwork, and create an environment where creativity and passion for coffee thrive. This position is full-time and entails working variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of the business. Compensation for this role is competitive and based on several factors such as experience, skills, location, and internal equity, offering a valuable opportunity for personal and professional growth within a respected global brand.
At Starbucks, the coffeehouse leader role goes beyond operational responsibilities and sales targets. It involves cultivating an entrepreneurial mentality coupled with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will bring a strong leadership presence, capable of coaching and mentoring team members with professionalism and maturity. This champion of the Starbucks culture prioritizes both the customer’s and team partner’s experience and thrives in a sales-focused, fast-paced environment. Champions of this role are not just managing daily operations but are building a community-centered business where people, quality, and connection are core to every action taken. Starbucks offers a supportive environment with outstanding benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid parental leave, sick time, paid holidays, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and an exceptional tuition coverage program through Arizona State University’s online degree option. This comprehensive benefits package reflects Starbucks’ commitment to valuing and investing in their partners and their families.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in retail or customer service management, military service, or those who bring a strong entrepreneurial spirit and leadership capability. Starbucks ensures an inclusive and equal employment environment without discrimination and is committed to providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities. Joining Starbucks as a coffeehouse leader means becoming part of a larger mission—to craft coffee and moments that matter, foster community, and enable growth every day. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact, build lasting relationships, and connect with something truly bigger than just serving coffee.
