The position of General Manager at Braum's is a vital leadership role responsible for executing the company's brand strategy while promoting its vision, mission, and values. This role ensures that every customer interaction results in a memorable experience and that the store meets and exceeds its sales targets. The General Manager oversees daily operations spanning the food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales, ensuring operational excellence, adherence to safety and cleanliness standards, and efficient inventory management. This position involves teaching, coaching, and leading team members by fostering a positive and motivated work environment, enabling the unit to achieve its goals effectively.

Occupying this role demands a blend of strong leadership skills, business acumen, and a customer-centric mindset. The General Manager is expected to build and maintain an environment of trust and collaboration among staff members, continually adapt to changing customer and employee needs, and communicate effectively with the leadership team. The work schedule is based on a rotating three-week plan with an expected 45-hour work week during shifts from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm. Compensation for this full-time management position ranges between $99,000 and $110,500 annually, complemented by a robust bonus program guaranteed for the first twelve weeks at the maximum level and paid bi-weekly.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate customer focus, a strong work ethic with integrity, and an ability to train, develop, and interact positively with all levels of the team. They should have proven experience in managing retail store units, preferably with 3 to 5 years in similar roles, and possess the organizational skills required to analyze performance reports and maintain compliance with all company policies. Braum's encourages applicants who are at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and preferably hold an Associates Degree or some college education. This role reports directly to the District Manager and plays a crucial part in driving business success and exceptional customer service within the store.

Job Duties

  • Oversees the daily operations of Braum's food service function, grocery market and fountain sales
  • Monitors inventory and supply levels, kitchen equipment, safety and cleanliness as needed
  • Ensures that Braum's store policies and practices are implemented and followed accordingly
  • Teaching, coaching and providing leadership to the store crew members and ensures that unit goals are achieved
  • Provide an enhanced customer-centric culture that includes consistent guest service and food quality
