The General Manager plays a crucial role in executing Braum's brand strategy and promoting its vision, mission, and values. Managing the daily operations of food service, grocery market, and fountain sales requires a detail-oriented and driven leader. This role involves monitoring inventory and supply levels, overseeing kitchen equipment functionality, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are upheld. The General Manager is responsible for implementing and enforcing store policies, coaching and leading store crew members, and fostering a culture centered on customer service and food quality.
The position requires working a rotating 3-week schedule with an expected 45-hour work week generally from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm. The General Manager reports directly to the District Manager and is expected to demonstrate key leadership qualities such as a strong customer focus, high ethical standards, and a positive attitude toward consistently training and developing staff. The manager must be capable of building a trusting and successful team, adapting to changing customer and employee needs, and clearly communicating with leadership team members.
Successful candidates usually have 3 to 5 years of experience managing and leading a retail store unit. An Associate's degree or some college education is preferred, along with being at least 21 years old and holding a valid driver’s license. The role also requires discipline in follow-up and follow-through, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to analyze and interpret reporting results. Job Duties
- Oversees the daily operations of Braum's food service function, grocery market and fountain sales
- Monitors inventory and supply levels, kitchen equipment, safety and cleanliness as needed
- Ensures that Braum's store policies and practices are implemented and followed accordingly
- Teaching, coaching and providing leadership to the store crew members and ensures that unit goals are achieved
- Provide an enhanced customer-centric culture that includes consistent guest service and food quality
