Aloha is a company deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture, emphasizing mutual respect, teamwork, and a nurturing work environment. This establishment values its people, fostering a workspace where employees enjoy their roles, support each other, and consistently uphold the core value of doing the right thing for fellow employees, customers, and business partners. The company's name and island heritage reflect the spirit of aloha, a principle they embed in all aspects of their operations.
Aloha is seeking a Store Manager who will oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring profitability, effective staffing, expense control, inventory management, and shortage prevention. This role is critical to maintaining high-performance standards, driving sales, and fostering a positive customer experience. The Store Manager will be responsible for supervising all staff, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, and upholding company standards in customer service quality. This leadership position requires managing daily and periodic store functions, including inventory control, security, payroll submission, employee evaluations, and other administrative duties.
The Store Manager assists with customer service needs and handles administrative tasks such as daily paperwork, securing company assets, and conducting competitor fuel price surveys. The role demands active involvement in hiring, training, evaluating, and sometimes disciplining employees, ensuring a motivated and skilled workforce. The Store Manager also plays a crucial role in scheduling, payroll, and maintaining store appearance and safety standards. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as the position requires availability on all days of the week, including extended hours, varying shifts, and readiness for emergency on-call situations.
Working conditions involve both indoor and outdoor environments, requiring the use of various equipment ranging from computers to beverage machines. The position demands physical activity including standing, reaching, lifting, and occasional climbing, coupled with significant communication duties involving staff, customers, vendors, and supervisors. Mental demands include attention to detail, decision-making based on financial data, and consistent alertness to ensure smooth store operations.
Candidates for this role should have proven managerial experience of 2-5 years, especially in cash handling and supervisory responsibilities. Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with mandatory completion of sales associate training and the ability to obtain TB clearance. A valid driver's license is required, and ongoing training, including seminars and computer skills, is part of the job. Reporting is directly to the Area Supervisor, working under the general guidance of the General Manager of Company Operated Stores. This Store Manager role represents a comprehensive leadership opportunity within a company that stands by its cultural values and operational excellence.
