Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally renowned coffeehouse chain known for its commitment to crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful connections one cup at a time. As a leader in the coffee retail industry, Starbucks prides itself on cultivating a warm and welcoming environment where every coffee moment invites community and connection. This company is not just about serving coffee; it's about fostering authentic relationships and a sense of belonging for its customers and partners alike. Starbucks operates thousands of stores worldwide, emphasizing quality, sustainability, and innovation while upholding its deep-rooted values in social responsibility and community upliftment.
The role of a Store Manager at Starbucks is much more than a typical management position; it is a leadership opportunity to inspire a team that embodies the company’s mission of crafting perfect coffee paired with the highest level of hospitality. This position focuses on developing people, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment. As a store manager, you will lead by example, coaching and mentoring partners to grow professionally while nurturing a positive and productive work atmosphere. This role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage the daily operations effectively, drive sales, and build lasting customer relationships.
Starbucks values entrepreneurial leadership and professionalism, expecting its store managers to embrace a sales-focused mentality alongside their passion for coffee culture. Whether it’s orchestrating team schedules, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, or engaging with the local community, this role offers ample opportunities to make a distinctive impact. The company’s dedication to partner development means you will be supported with industry-leading benefits and resources to help you grow your career in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Starbucks seeks candidates with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and substantial experience in retail or customer service management, or alternatively, those who have served four or more years in the US Military. Candidates should possess entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership capabilities, and the aptitude to solve problems effectively in a dynamic workplace. This job typically involves full-time commitment with variable hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Located in diverse geographies, Starbucks ensures competitive compensation and fosters an environment where diversity and inclusion are championed.
Starbucks is committed to providing comprehensive benefits that support the health, wellness, and financial well-being of its partners and their families. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, vacation and sick time, paid holidays, and educational support through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. Benefits extend beyond healthcare, featuring a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match, equity programs, financial management resources, and additional perks that contribute to a healthy work-life balance. Starbucks also offers backup care and accommodations for employees with disabilities, ensuring an equitable workplace for all. This position offers the chance to join a company passionate about quality coffee, community involvement, and partner growth. By leading a Starbucks store, you connect with something much bigger than just coffee—you connect with a community and a shared purpose.
