This particular Circle K location at 1146 N 35th Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85009, is seeking a dedicated Store Manager to lead and oversee the store’s overall operations. The role demands a flexible availability schedule, incorporating shifts across different times, including weekends and holidays, ensuring that the store consistently delivers excellent service to customers. As the Store Manager, the successful candidate will have direct supervisory responsibility over at least two full-time employees, which may include assistant managers, lead representatives, and customer service representatives. The position will focus on recruiting and training energetic and positive team members, ensuring that every employee upholds company standards in customer service, store image, and safety. The Store Manager is expected to foster a professional, supportive environment while effectively scheduling staff to meet business needs.

The responsibilities span leadership, financial management, training, development, and operational planning, all geared towards achieving business objectives and maximizing profitability. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining excellent supplier relationships, resolving customer complaints promptly and professionally, and ensuring the cleanliness and organized appearance of the store. Furthermore, the role involves analyzing daily sales and expenses, budgeting, forecasting profit and loss lines, and taking necessary actions to enhance sales and net profits.

This position requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and involves creating regular communication channels between store staff and management. The Store Manager also oversees on-going performance appraisals and timely feedback for employees, promoting continuous development and adherence to safety and cash management procedures. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry inventory items, operate store equipment and computer systems, as well as managing tasks that require bending, twisting, and standing for long durations. Overall, this role plays a vital part in driving store success, staff performance, and delivering a positive shopping experience to customers at Circle K Phoenix.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of retail work experience or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise and train employees
  • Ability to manage functions listed in Customer Service Representative, Lead CSR and Store Assistant job descriptions
  • Ability to use or learn computer skills needed for store operations
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Open availability
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
  • Ability to perform essential physical duties
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to sit for long periods
  • Food Server certificate and Food Safety Management certification may be required
