Job Description
Panda Express is a renowned American fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in American Chinese cuisine, with a rich history dating back to its founding in Glendale, California, in 1983. Today, Panda Express stands as the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations globally. The company continues its mission to deliver exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering an organizational culture centered on family values and community impact. Panda Express prides itself not only on culinary excellence but also on building an environment where employees are inspired to enhance their lives both professionally and personally. This commitment is evident through its comprehensive training programs and supportive leadership.
Panda Express is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team. This role is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $26 to $29, depending on experience and location. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of a single store, including hiring, managing, and directing associates to meet financial targets and ensuring the delivery of outstanding guest experiences. You will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. To help you succeed, Panda Express provides an extensive paid leadership training program lasting eight or more weeks. This program is designed to equip you with the skills needed to manage store operations effectively and support your growth within the company.
The company places great emphasis on employee development and offers mentorship and ongoing career advancement opportunities. As part of the Panda community, you will receive support that fosters your professional success and well-being. The role requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment typical of restaurant kitchens. You will be expected to maintain food safety standards, for which Serve Safe certification is required. Additionally, the position involves managing associate schedules, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a high standard of service under varied and sometimes challenging conditions.
Panda Express values diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals, regardless of protected characteristics under the law. The company provides reasonable accommodations to ensure a fair hiring process and an inclusive workplace environment. Working as a Store Manager at Panda Express offers not only the chance to lead a successful restaurant operation but also to be part of a company that genuinely cares about its people and their growth. With generous benefits, competitive pay, and a clear path for advancement, this role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about leadership and the restaurant industry.
