Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the American Chinese restaurant industry, proudly standing as the largest family-owned Asian dining concept in the United States. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, the company has since expanded to nearly 2,800 locations globally, offering authentic Asian cuisine combined with a commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Panda Express is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace culture that emphasizes the professional and personal growth of its associates. This commitment is evident in the extensive training, mentorship, and support provided to its team members. The company values family-oriented principles and strives to make a meaningful impact not only within its stores but also in the communities it serves. Panda Express strongly believes in creating opportunities for individuals to enhance their skills, advance their careers, and contribute positively to the brand’s success. Whether you are interested in hospitality, food service, management, or customer relations, Panda Express offers a dynamic, supportive environment for career growth and development.

The Store Manager role at Panda Express is a pivotal position within the company’s store management team. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation of a single Panda Express location. This includes managing hiring and staffing, directing daily store activities, achieving financial targets, and ensuring that customers receive outstanding dining experiences. Your leadership directly influences the overall success and profitability of your store. To set you up for success, Panda Express provides an extensive eight-week (or longer) paid Store Management Leadership Training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in your role. As part of this program, you will receive hands-on, practical training, ongoing career and leadership development, and mentorship from experienced leaders within the Panda community. The company also encourages continuous education through scholarships and assistance programs.

Working at Panda Express means you will join a passionate team that values flexibility, dedication, and hard work. You will enjoy a generous compensation package with opportunities for bonuses, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, and financial security through 401(k) plans with company match. The company also supports associates with income protection options, paid time off, paid holidays, and special leave programs. Additional perks include discounted rates at theme parks and gym memberships, free meals during work shifts, and the chance to engage in community outreach and charitable initiatives. All these benefits reflect Panda Express’s commitment to supporting its employees both professionally and personally. Moreover, the pay range for this position is competitive, generally between $28 and $31 per hour, with individual pay determined by experience and location. Alongside these tangible benefits, working at Panda Express offers the unique reward of being part of a family-focused brand that celebrates diversity, equal opportunity, and workplace inclusion.
