Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned American fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in Chinese cuisine and is the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to operate close to 2,800 locations worldwide. The company is deeply committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences and fostering an organizational culture where employees are inspired to improve their lives both professionally and personally. Panda Express is well-known not only for its popular menu items but also for its strong emphasis on values such as family orientation, mutual respect, and community involvement. This makes Panda Express a highly regarded employer in the foodservice industry.

The role of Store Manager at Panda Express is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing store operations to achieve both financial goals and outstanding guest satisfaction. As a Store Manager, you will be managing and directing a team of associates within one store, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while also being hands-on with hiring, training, and motivating the team. Panda Express supports new managers with paid Store Management Leadership Training that spans eight or more weeks, providing hands-on, comprehensive preparation to set you up for success. You will be supported by mentorship and a dedicated Panda community focused on your growth and success.

The Store Manager role requires strong leadership skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage conflicts effectively, and adapt to changing priorities. The candidate must have a high school diploma and food safety certification such as Serve Safe. Flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekends and the willingness to work within a 50-mile radius of a store location are essential. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work efficiently under high noise and heat conditions typically found in restaurant kitchens.

Panda Express offers a rewarding compensation package that includes bonuses and comprehensive benefits like medical, vision, dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan with company match. The company also provides free meals during work shifts, discounts on theme parks and gym memberships, and access to continuous education assistance and leadership development. Panda Express promotes a supportive and inclusive work environment that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure reasonable accommodations are available. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Panda Express values diversity and inclusion by not discriminating against applicants or employees based on legally protected characteristics.

Joining Panda Express as a Store Manager offers a unique opportunity to grow within a globally recognized brand known for empowering its associates and impacting communities positively. The career pathway includes ongoing leadership development, paid training, and access to numerous perks aimed at improving life both inside and outside the workplace. If you are driven, ready to lead, and passionate about making a difference in the food service industry, Panda Express welcomes you to apply and become an integral part of their family-oriented team.
