Job Description
The Cottage Grocery is a unique specialty grocery store that blends multiple culinary and retail experiences into one welcoming space. At its core, it is a prepared foods market offering a vast selection of homemade items, both fresh and frozen. Beyond that, the establishment operates as a cafe, a bakery, a boutique wine shop, and a coffee shop, making it a versatile destination for anyone seeking quality food and drink products. Founded on the belief that some of the best moments happen around the table, The Cottage Grocery fosters an atmosphere where the pace slows down, conversation flows freely, and homemade food brings people together. The environment is built on passion for cooking, excellent customer care, and a commitment to providing the highest quality products and experiences to its community. Everyone who works at The Cottage Grocery shares these values and takes pride in their craft, ensuring customers receive exceptional service and delicious homemade offerings daily.
The role of Store Manager at The Cottage Grocery is a key leadership position responsible for the smooth operation of Front of House (FOH). The manager will oversee a diligent and collaborative team including baristas, FOH associates, and stockers while working closely with kitchen leadership and company owners. This is a service-oriented role that requires a keen eye for details and a proactive attitude toward resolving issues swiftly for an optimal customer shopping and dining experience. The ideal candidate takes ownership, acts quickly when processes break, and maintains a beautifully organized storefront. They manage daily operations, including inventory tracking and ordering, oversee the wine program, and serve as the first point of escalation for customer issues. Additionally, the Store Manager will engage with customers to curate menus and product selections, ensure compliance with health regulations, and support a warm, efficient workplace culture. This role is perfect for someone motivated by creating comfortable and delightful experiences that keep customers returning. The position offers a competitive wage, medical, dental, and vision insurance, various bonuses, and life insurance benefits, making it both rewarding and supportive. The Cottage Grocery is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
