The Store Leader (Manager) Trainee role at 7-Eleven offers a dynamic start for individuals aspiring to develop their leadership and operational skills in retail management. Job Requirements

  • Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for store employees
  • Desire to maintain high retention through leadership development and employee empowerment
  • Ability to implement merchandising and marketing programs
  • Demonstrated ability to use financial reports for store management
  • Manage cash handling and fuel transactions
  • Maintain store health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with computers including Microsoft products
  • High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent retail management experience
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required with retail management experience
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in computer use, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, bend, stand, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and automotive liability insurance required
  • Demonstrated leadership and results-driven approach
  • Strong strategic thinking and entrepreneurial qualities

Job Duties

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees
  • Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity
  • Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs
  • Use P&L and store reports to make operational changes
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation standards
  • Perform general management duties to ensure store profitability and customer satisfaction
