The role of Store Leader (Manager) Trainee at 7-Eleven represents a unique opportunity to embark on a management track within a thriving global enterprise. Store Leader Trainees will master customer service leadership, sales growth strategies, store operations, merchandising, marketing initiatives, and team development. The Store Leader function is the core leadership role responsible for executing merchandising and marketing plans, managing financial aspects including P&L and cash handling, coaching and developing employees, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees
  • Desire to maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity
  • Ability to oversee and implement all merchandising and marketing programs
  • Demonstrated ability to use P&L and store reports to affect change
  • Ability to manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of our rewards loyalty program
  • Demonstrated ability maintaining a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures to ensure the store is presentable and that all products are in-stock
  • Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred Word, Excel)
  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates that have at least one year of retail management experience
  • A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment
  • The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or retail management experience
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use financial reports and analytics to make informed decisions
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required with equivalent retail management experience
  • Valid driver’s license and automotive liability insurance
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees
  • Maintain high employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity
  • Implement all merchandising and marketing programs
  • Use P&L and store reports to drive operational improvements
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program
  • Ensure the store is clean, safe, and well-stocked by complying with health and sanitation procedures
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members and customers
