The Store Leader (Manager) Trainee position at 7-Eleven represents an exciting opportunity for ambitious individuals eager to build a career in retail management. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required with at least one year of retail management experience
- Ability to oversee and provide leadership, training, and coaching for store employees
- Ability to implement merchandising and marketing programs
- Ability to analyze P&L and store reports to effect change
- Ability to manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote loyalty programs
- Ability to maintain store cleanliness and comply with health and sanitation procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and automotive liability insurance
- Ability to multi-task and perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required with retail management experience
- Previous supervisory or retail management experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use P&L and store reports for decision making
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license with automotive liability insurance
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Capable of multi-tasking and performing physical tasks including bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees
- Maintain high employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity
- Implement all merchandising and marketing programs
- Use profit and loss (P&L) and store reports to drive operational improvements
- Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program
- Ensure store compliance with health and sanitation procedures maintaining cleanliness and stocking
- Communicate effectively with team members and demonstrate proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
