Job Description

Centro Restaurant Group (CRG), including its notable fast-casual concept Hippo Pockets, is a vibrant and innovative player in the food and beverage industry. Known for blending innovation with welcoming atmospheres full of energy, heart, and dedication, CRG strives to create memorable dining experiences for all guests with fast, thorough service and quality food and beverage options. The company is deeply committed to nurturing its team and community simultaneously, emphasizing respect, fun, equity, and leadership development. CRG views its workplace as a family dynamic where investment in employees translates to growth and stronger service to the community. The group fosters a positive and cohesive environment, aiming to create leaders who contribute actively to the company's success and culture.

The Store Lead role at Hippo Pockets under Centro Restaurant Group is a pivotal management position crucial to driving operational success and guest satisfaction. This role is based in-store and entails comprehensive supervision of hourly staff across both front and back of house operations. The Store Lead is entrusted with maintaining high standards for food quality, service excellence, and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to district management, this role demands a leader who can balance hands-on team coaching, labor cost control, scheduling, training, and daily operational management. The position offers a competitive salary starting at $55,000 annually, combined with a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, a retirement savings plan with a 3% match, paid time off, and employee discounts.

As a Store Lead, you will supervise staff to build team buy-in and ensure smooth daily functions by delegating tasks, coaching employees with constructive feedback, overseeing training, managing schedules with cost efficiencies, and collaborating with human resources for onboarding and disciplinary issues. You will be an expert on the Hippo Pockets menu and service standards, actively engaging with guests, assisting with complaints, and ensuring consistent food quality control. Operational responsibilities extend to managing labor costs, safety, sanitation, inventory, and implementing company policies. Leadership duties involve demonstrating professionalism, accountability, ongoing staff development, and facilitating communication between front and back of house teams.

Centro Restaurant Group embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, being an equal opportunity employer that values all identities and backgrounds. This role is ideal for candidates with over two years of management experience, strong supervision and mentorship skills, a collaborative spirit, commitment to personal and professional growth, and passion for CRG's mission and values. Conversational Spanish is a plus. If you thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, have a dedication to fostering positive team and guest experiences and want to contribute to a growing and respected restaurant group, this is the perfect position to showcase and expand your leadership capabilities.
