In addition to delivery duties, the driver will be responsible for picking up cores and returns from customers, processing credits accurately, and handling any customer problems by liaising with store or warehouse management. The ideal candidate will be friendly, courteous, and able to work well within a team environment. Maintaining a continuous, timely work attendance record is critical to the role. Vehicle maintenance and basic care are also part of the job responsibilities, ensuring the vehicle remains in good condition to safely complete deliveries. The driver must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets underwriting standards, demonstrating compliance with all federal, state, and local laws as well as company policies. Additionally, this position entails following criteria set forth in the Employee Handbook, Driver's Handbook, and Fleet Safety Policy.
The job requires a flexible work schedule, with the ability to work various days, evenings, and weekends as needed to provide excellent service and contribute to the company’s growth with integrity and profitability. Furthermore, the candidate needs to demonstrate a professional attitude, excellent communication and phone skills, resourcefulness, and tact in handling unexpected challenges, and the ability to work effectively as a team member. This job candidacy is well-suited for someone customer-service oriented, detail-focused, and experienced with basic computer proficiency. The physical demands of the position include lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and the ability to perform various physical activities such as standing, bending, crouching, and climbing. The work environment involves exposure to various weather conditions, noise levels, and potential mechanical hazards, so adherence to safety protocols is critical. The ability to read and understand English for communication and record-keeping is also a must.
Overall, this Delivery Driver opportunity offers employment within a structured and supportive logistics setting where the ability to deliver superior customer service and maintain safety standards is highly valued. The position suits motivated individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a professional team.
