The Assistant Restaurant Leader (Assistant Manager) position at the 7-Eleven store located at 6317 Milwaukee Avenue, Lubbock, Texas, plays a vital role in supporting restaurant operations and leadership. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy being part of a management team and have previous supervisory experience. The Assistant Restaurant Leader is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Leader in overseeing customer service leadership, employee training, and coaching to ensure high standards are consistently met.

This role involves monitoring and maintaining the restaurant’s condition to comply with company policies, procedures, and local Health Department Standards. The Assistant Restaurant Leader ensures proper preparation, presentation, and freshness of all foodservice products. Additionally, this position requires the ability to analyze P&L reports and store data to implement changes that enhance business performance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting operating and maintenance instructions, as well as strong computer skills with a preference for Microsoft Word and Excel, are important for success in this role.

Candidates for this position typically hold a high school diploma or GED, although this is flexible for those with at least one year of restaurant management experience. Physical requirements include the ability to multi-task, bend, stand, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required for candidates with at least one year of restaurant management experience
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to multi-task and perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Desire to lead and coach employees
  • Ability to maintain restaurant standards in compliance with policies and health regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or retail environment
  • Proficient computer knowledge, preferably with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret operational and maintenance documents
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to multi-task and perform physical activities related to the role

Job Duties

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching alongside the Restaurant Leader for all restaurant employees
  • Ensure the restaurant complies with company policies, procedures, and Health Department Standards
  • Monitor and maintain the preparation, presentation, and freshness of all foodservice products
  • Analyze P&L and store reports to implement business improvements
  • Read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Perform multi-tasking tasks including bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Support the Restaurant Leader in daily restaurant operations and employee management
