Job Description
Sherwin-Williams is a leading global company specializing in the manufacture and sale of paints, coatings, and related products. Established as a trusted name in the industry, Sherwin-Williams operates retail stores, wholesale branches, and distribution centers, providing quality products and innovative solutions to a diverse customer base ranging from residential clients to large industrial users. The company prides itself on a strong commitment to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement, fostering a work environment that supports career growth, employee well-being, and community engagement.
This position is for the role of Color Mixer Specialist at Sherwin-Williams Store #721036 located at 1560 Glenn Center Drive, Kernersville, NC 27284. This is a part-time role offering up to 28 hours per week with a starting pay rate of $15.30 per hour. The Color Mixer Specialist plays a crucial role in the store’s operations, with responsibilities centered on tinting and mixing paint to precise customer specifications. Working closely with both wholesale and retail customers, the specialist assesses and meets their needs, answers inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommends the best solutions based on customer requirements and product features. The role demands an individual who is not only technically skilled in paint mixing but also capable of delivering excellent customer service while contributing to the store's sales goals.
Additionally, Color Mixer Specialists are expected to maintain the visual and quality standards of the store and products, ensuring that all materials meet brand and corporate guidelines. The role entails a mix of customer engagement, hands-on product handling, and operational tasks such as equipment maintenance and inventory management. Given the safety and security considerations involved, such as handling cash, electronic equipment, and personal customer information, candidates will undergo a criminal history review to ensure the protection of the company's operations and reputation.
Sherwin-Williams invests in its employees by offering rewards, benefits, and flexible working arrangements designed to promote health and well-being. The company fosters an inclusive team culture and provides ample opportunities for learning, developing new skills, and professional growth. The recruitment process involves an initial online application, a digital video interview via HireVue, and a potential in-store interview for the best candidates. Sherwin-Williams is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, making it an attractive workplace for individuals seeking a stable yet dynamic retail experience in the specialty paint sector.
