The role being offered is for a full-time Floor Care Associate at TJ Maxx Store 0379 in Eagan, MN, with a starting pay range of $15.00 to $15.50 per hour. This position focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment by performing various floor care and cleaning duties. The successful candidate will operate equipment such as scrubbers and buffers to ensure that sales floors, restrooms, associate lounges, backrooms, and other store areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. They will also be cross-trained to assist in other store functions including the sales floor, front end, and backroom operations, providing flexibility to support business needs.
The Floor Care Associate not only contributes to maintaining the store’s appearance but also upholds company policies related to health and safety, operational procedures, merchandise standards, and loss prevention. In this role, employees are expected to embody and demonstrate excellent customer service practices with both internal team members and external customers, supporting a positive store culture built on honesty, integrity, and mutual respect. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with managers and fellow associates are essential.
Attention to detail and physical stamina are vital as the role involves various cleaning tasks such as dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, spot cleaning windows and glass, and refilling essential items. The individual must be capable of multitasking and adapting to changing priorities or unexpected situations while maintaining a safe working environment. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
- Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
- Maintains all floor care cleanliness standards including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer
- Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store, e.g. Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom and Restrooms
- Adheres to all company policies concerning Health and Safety (includes the refilling of all essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms and Front End)
- Cross-trained in other areas of the store (Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, etc.)
- Supports and responds to all Front End coverage needs
- Adheres and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards
- Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
- Adheres to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies including shrink reduction
- Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates
- Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break period policies
- Participates in safety awareness maintains a safe environment
- Other duties as assigned
