The opportunity at TJ Maxx revolves around a part-time role focused on retail floor care and maintaining a clean, well-organized store environment. This position plays an essential part in ensuring the store upholds high standards for cleanliness and safety, contributing directly to the customer experience and business operations. The role involves responsibilities such as operating floor cleaning equipment including scrubbers and buffers, performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning of glass and windows. Beyond floor care, the employee is expected to support various areas of the store through cross-training, helping with backroom organization, front-end assistance, and general sales floor upkeep. This flexibility helps in meeting the dynamic needs of the retail environment, supporting smooth store operations and excellent service standards.

This position requires adherence to company operational policies, merchandise presentation guidelines, safety and health standards, and loss prevention protocols to minimize shrink. Employees also help maintain cleanliness and stocking of essential items in areas such as the associate lounge, restrooms, and front end. Active participation in store recovery and quick response to store needs, including front end coverage, are critical parts of the job.
