The HomeGoods store located at 11959 SW Canyon Rd, Beaverton, OR, is currently seeking to hire a part-time associate responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, specifically focusing on floor care. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the store presents a welcoming and safe atmosphere for customers and employees alike. The position involves operating cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning of glass surfaces and windows. The associate will uphold the company’s operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards while being cross-trained to support various store areas when business needs arise.

Job Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to follow health and safety guidelines
- Effective communication skills
- Must comply with labor laws, including meal and break periods
- Ability to lift weight as required by job tasks
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment

- Retail customer experience preferred
Job Duties
- Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
- Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
- Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer
- Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store, including sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom and restrooms
- Adhere to all company policies concerning Health and Safety, including the refilling of all essential items in the lounge, restrooms and front end
- Be cross-trained in other areas of the store such as backroom, front end, sales floor
- Support and respond to all front end coverage needs
- Adhere and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day
- Adhere to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies including shrink reduction
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates
- Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including associate meal and break period policies
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
