This position is based at the HomeGoods Store 0476 located in Glendale, California. HomeGoods operates as an off-price home furnishing retailer and is part of the TJX Companies portfolio. The store focuses on providing customers with high-quality home décor, furniture, and accessories at everyday savings. The role available is for a Store Floor Care Associate, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization across the store. The primary focus is on floor care, which requires operating equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, along with tasks including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning glass and windows. The associate ensures that all cleanliness and recovery standards are consistently met throughout the sales floor, front end, backroom, associate lounge, and restrooms. This position supports loss prevention and operational policies, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for employees and customers alike. Cross-training is a key feature of this role, enabling flexibility to support different areas of the store as business needs arise.
With a starting pay range from $16.90 to $17.40 per hour, based on relevant skills and experience, the position offers the chance to be part of a celebrated retail family that values honesty, integrity, respect, and teamwork. Job Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
- Must comply with all labor laws, including associate meal and break period policies
- Adheres to all company policies and standards concerning health, safety, and loss prevention
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as scrubber and buffer
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently
- Physical capability to perform repetitive cleaning duties and lift heavy objects
- Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple store areas

Job Duties
- Maintains all floor care cleanliness standards including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer
- Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store including sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom and restrooms
- Adheres to all company policies concerning health and safety including refilling of all essential items in the lounge, restrooms and front end
- Cross-trained in other areas of the store such as backroom, front end, sales floor
- Supports and responds to all front end coverage needs
- Adheres and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards
- Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
- Adheres to all operational and loss prevention controls including shrink reduction
- Communicates accurately and effectively with management and associates
- Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
