The role open at the HomeGoods Store 0767 in Albuquerque, NM, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about maintaining a clean and safe retail environment. This position focuses on floor care and overall store cleanliness, requiring the operation of cleaning equipment like scrubbers and buffers as well as performing various janitorial duties including dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning. The responsibility extends beyond just floor care to maintaining cleanliness in various store areas such as the sales floor, backroom, associate lounges, restrooms, and front end. This is a hands-on role with an emphasis on upholding TJX’s high operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.

Employees in this position are expected to be versatile and cross-trained in different areas of the store, allowing them to assist with front end coverage, store recovery, and other operational needs as they arise. Job Duties

  • Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards including operation of scrubber and buffer
  • dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot clean glass and windows
  • maintain cleanliness and organizational standards for the entire store including sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms
  • adhere to all health and safety policies including refilling essential items in lounges, restrooms and front end
  • cross-train and provide support in other store areas such as backroom, front end and sales floor
  • respond to front end coverage needs as required
  • uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards
  • participate in store recovery throughout the day
  • adhere to operational and loss prevention controls including shrink reduction
  • communicate effectively with management and associates
  • comply with all labor laws and associate meal and break period policies
  • promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
  • perform other duties as assigned
