HomeGoods, one of the brands under the TJX umbrella, specializes in providing customers with a unique shopping experience focused on home decor and furnishings at exceptional value. The HomeGoods store team plays a vital role in maintaining the store’s appeal, ensuring it is clean, organized, and inviting for customers. The company is now seeking a dedicated team member to join the HomeGoods store at 1201 Phoenix AZ location. This role is an hourly position with a starting pay ranging from $15.15 to $15.65 per hour, depending on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly store environment, with special attention to floor care using equipment such as scrubbers and buffers. Duties also include dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass surfaces. This role demands a commitment to upholding all operational standards, merchandise protocols, and loss prevention policies. The individual will be cross-trained to support various areas of the store including the sales floor, backroom, and front end, enabling flexible assistance according to business needs.
This position is ideal for candidates who have excellent customer service skills, physical stamina, and strong organizational abilities. The ability to multitask, adapt to changes in direction, communicate effectively, and maintain a positive store culture is essential. Job Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a retail or cleaning environment is an asset
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks including operation of floor care equipment
- Commitment to uphold all company policies including health and safety
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects with or without accommodation
- Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple store areas
- Ability to adhere to company labor laws and scheduled breaks
- Availability to work varied shifts including weekends

Job Duties
- Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
- Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
- Maintains all floor care cleanliness standards including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer
- Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store, e.g. Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom and Restrooms
- Adheres to all company policies concerning Health and Safety (includes the refilling of all essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms and Front End)
- Cross-trained in other areas of the store (Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, etc.)
- Supports and responds to all Front End coverage needs
- Adheres and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards
- Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
- Adheres to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies including shrink reduction
- Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates
- Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break period policies
- Participates in safety awareness maintains a safe environment
- Other duties as assigned
