This particular role is based at the USA HomeGoods Store located in Maple Grove, MN. The position available is a critical part of the store operations, focusing predominantly on maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment with an emphasis on floor care. The role involves operating floor care equipment such as scrubbers and buffers and performing various cleaning duties like dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The employee in this position plays an essential role in upholding store cleanliness and organizational standards, which contribute directly to the customer experience and overall store performance.

The job requires the individual to be cross-trained in multiple areas within the store, including supporting front-end operations, backroom activities, and sales floor tasks. Job Duties

  • Operate floor care equipment including scrubber and buffer
  • perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting
  • spot clean glass and windows
  • maintain cleanliness and organizational standards across sales floor, front end, backroom, associate lounge, and restrooms
  • adhere to health and safety policies including replenishment of essential items
  • cross-trained to support backroom, front end, and sales floor operations
  • support front end coverage needs
  • uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards
  • participate in store recovery activities
  • follow operational and loss prevention controls to reduce shrink
  • communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates
  • comply with labor laws and company policies including break periods
  • promote safety awareness and maintain a safe work environment
  • perform other duties as assigned
