The role available at Whole Foods Market is for a dedicated Bakery Team Member responsible for preparing and baking products that meet the company's rigorous quality standards. Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • standing and walking 6-8 hours per day
  • use of hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • capacity for bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require ladder use

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6-12 months retail experience

Job Duties

  • Measures, mixes, and prepares raw materials according to company specifications and recipes
  • forms, cuts, molds, shapes, and bakes dough
  • monitors cooking completion times and sets heat and humidity temperatures for proof box
  • checks product to ensure it meets Whole Foods Market quality standards
  • completes temperature, sweep, and sanitation logs
  • arrives to work station on time, groomed, and ready to work
  • works scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings
  • provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs effectively
  • maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
