The role available is for a baking and preparation team member within the retail operations who will work primarily on overnight shifts. This position plays a critical role in the quality assurance of baked goods and other products adhering to Whole Foods Market's high-quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, mixing, and preparing raw materials according to company recipes, shaping and baking dough products, and ensuring overall product consistency and quality through vigilant monitoring of cooking times and temperatures. Additionally, the role requires maintaining sanitation and safety standards, completing logs related to temperature and cleaning, and supporting store merchandising standards. The candidate is expected to demonstrate thorough product knowledge, work efficiently as part of a team, and deliver excellent customer service, including suggestive selling tactics. They must also be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, following company procedures, and promoting the brand's image positively.
This position demands physical stamina such as standing for long hours, lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds, and operating various equipment including knives, box cutters, and pallet jacks. Shift flexibility is necessary, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Team members will undergo training and performance will be evaluated continuously to ensure alignment with the company's standards and operational procedures. The compensation ranges from $17.00 to $25.40 hourly, based on experience. Job Requirements
- must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing and walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift
- hand use requiring single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- able to perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- able to work in wet and dry conditions
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders
- availability to work overnight shifts

Job Duties
- Measure, mix, and prepare raw materials according to company specifications and recipes
- form, cut, mold, shape, and bake dough
- monitor cooking completion times and adjust heat and humidity temperatures for proof box
