This role is an integral part of Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore team in Portland, focused on retail operations involving the sale of donated materials that help fund homebuilding projects. The position offered is part-time, located within the Portland ReStore department, and reports directly to the Store Manager. Compensation for this position ranges from $17.34 to $20.61 per hour, with opportunities for incremental raises based on performance and qualifications. The organization also provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays, and birthday off), life insurance, paid family and medical leave, and participation in a 403(b) retirement plan with a 3% match. The ReStore Associate supports all facets of daily retail operations with duties that may include customer service, cashiering, donation acceptance, stocking, pricing, guiding volunteers, and assisting with donation pick-ups. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment involving physical activity such as loading and unloading items, moving merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. They are adept at time management, safety adherence, use of communication tools, and collaborating with both staff and volunteers.
