Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly including overhead lifting
- Close visual acuity to perform tasks such as reading, computer terminal viewing, and inspecting small parts
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work flexible hours including part-time shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- Ability to maintain physical stamina required for retail roles
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate and effective customer service
- Basic cashier and inventory management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to support opening and closing store activities
- Willingness to assist pharmacy personnel as part of career growth opportunities
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs and demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions
- Focusing on the customer by giving warm and friendly greetings, maintaining eye contact, and offering assistance in locating additional items
- Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures
- Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager
- Supporting opening and closing store activities as needed
- Providing customer support across all departments such as photo and beauty, ensuring departments are fully stocked and operational
- Assisting pharmacy personnel when needed, including working shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development
- Embracing and advocating for new CVS services and loyalty programs to support customers' health journeys
