Job Description

U-Haul, a renowned leader in the moving and storage industry, has a rich history dating back to 1945 when it was founded to meet the growing demand for do-it-yourself moving equipment in the United States and Canada. The company's innovative approach revolutionized moving by offering one-way rentals of trucks and trailers, providing accessible and affordable solutions to countless households and businesses. With a strong commitment to customer service and community support, U-Haul continues to provide a comprehensive range of moving and storage products, including trailers, moving trucks, storage units, and towing equipment. As a family of companies under U-Haul Holding Company, U-Haul has maintained a culture that prioritizes health and wellness along with career development for its employees.

The role of a Storage Facility Housekeeper at U-Haul is pivotal in maintaining the clean, safe, and welcoming environment that customers expect when utilizing U-Haul services. Facility Housekeepers are responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the storage facility, including sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, and mopping various areas such as storage units, hallways, restrooms, and elevators. This role also involves the proper disposal of trash and maintaining the inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure everything is well-stocked for ongoing maintenance needs. Starting today with immediate pay and eligibility for a new hire bonus, this position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are organized, proactive, and detail-oriented to join a supportive and exceptional team.

This role offers much more than a job; it provides career stability and opportunities for advancement within the U-Haul family. Employees receive valuable on-the-job training that helps them develop skills not only for the present role but for future growth into other positions within the company. U-Haul also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including life insurance, legal and auto/home insurance programs through MetLife, health and prescription plans, dental and vision plans, and a 401k plan with stock options. Other perks include paid holidays, vacation, sick days, subsidized gym memberships, business and travel insurance, and unique discounts on technology, travel, and cellular plans.

The physical nature of the role requires individuals who can handle some physical exertion such as lifting weights up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working outdoors or in areas requiring safety gear like masks and gloves. The work environment may involve exposure to moving parts or irritants, making safety and precaution measures essential. U-Haul is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity and provides accommodations during the selection process to ensure all candidates have a fair chance.

Joining U-Haul as a Storage Facility Housekeeper means becoming part of an organization with a legacy of innovation, customer focus, and employee wellness.
