Job Description

U-Haul is a well-established company that has been serving the moving needs of millions across the United States and Canada since 1945. Founded by L.S. "Sam" Shoen and Anna Mary Carty Shoen, U-Haul introduced an innovative concept of providing do-it-yourself moving equipment on a one-way, nationwide basis. This idea revolutionized the moving industry by spreading ownership costs among many users, facilitating easier mobility for families and individuals. Today, U-Haul Holding Company and its family of companies, including the well-known U-Haul brand, continue to innovate and uphold a culture of health, wellness, and exceptional service.

U-Haul is seeking dedicated and organized Storage Facility Housekeepers to join their team. The role of a Facility Housekeeper is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appeal of U-Haul storage facilities, ensuring customers have a positive experience everytime they visit. This is a proactive position that demands attention to detail and a commitment to keeping the facility inviting and safe. New hires have the advantage of same-day start and pay, along with eligibility for bonuses, making this an attractive opportunity for individuals looking to start quickly in a stable career.

Facility Housekeepers are responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and wiping down storage units, hallways, restrooms, and elevators. They also manage trash disposal and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, placing orders when necessary. The job requires physical effort, such as moving equipment that weighs up to 50 pounds and requires working in an environment that may involve exposure to chemicals and machinery, necessitating the use of protective gear such as masks, goggles, and gloves.

This role is ideal for self-starters who are keen to learn, organized, and ready to contribute to a supportive and dynamic work environment. U-Haul offers comprehensive benefits, including career advancement opportunities, on-the-job training, life insurance, legal assistance programs, and various insurance benefits like health, dental, and vision plans. Employees may also enjoy discounts on technology products, travel-related perks, subsidized gym memberships, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days, alongside a 401k plan and stock options. U-Haul is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring accommodations for all applicants throughout the hiring process.
