Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of janitorial kitchen or restaurant experience
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to lift, carry and push or pull up to 50lbs or less
- Ability to stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb, and balance during shift
- Ability to use vision abilities including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision
- Must be flexible for shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of janitorial kitchen or restaurant experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Knowledgeable and proficient in all stewards equipment, chemicals, and techniques
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
- Ability of simple reading, writing, and task completion skills
- Precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, independent judgment, and decision making
- Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness of kitchens
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated items according to OSHA regulations
- Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform duties assigned to the stewarding department
- Keep all equipment and supplies well organized
- Operate and maintain dish machines, glass machines, floor scrubbers and burnishing machines
- Clean floors, mats and drains for sanitary reasons using mops, brooms, scrapers, scrubbers and chemicals
- Remove dirty dishes from cooks’ line or disassembly areas and take them to dish room for cleaning and re-stock cooks line with clean dishes
- Report on all maintenance issues
- Inform supervisors if equipment is found to be faulty or broken
- Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
