The Steward Supervisor role at Four Seasons Hotel Denver is a pivotal position within the culinary operations team. This supervisory role involves overseeing the cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of all kitchen-related equipment, including china, glassware, silverware, kitchen appliances, and production areas. The Steward Supervisor ensures that all cleanliness and hygiene standards meet the highest quality benchmarks and comply with safety regulations. The role requires not only hands-on participation in cleaning duties but also training, coaching, and organizing the steward team’s work to optimize efficiency and maintain a safe, productive work environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in cleaning or stewarding preferred
  • supervisory experience preferred
  • flexible schedule with availability to work morning, afternoon, evening shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • good communication skills
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Cleaning experience preferred
  • supervisory experience preferred
  • good command of the English language
  • bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
  • successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of china, glass, silver, kitchen equipment and kitchen production areas
  • train and coach the staff
  • clean and sanitize china, glass, and silver using the dishwashing machine
  • load and unload dishware and store properly
  • clean and sanitize ovens, steam kettles, mixers and other kitchen equipment
  • clean all kitchen drains, sinks, floors, and walls
  • clean, dust, sweep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff kitchen and pastry shop production areas and hallways
  • clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using correct cleaning and rinsing solutions
  • safely set-up, clean, and utilize the silver burnishing machine
  • place damaged or worn silver pieces in designated area for repair
  • safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials using correct protective clothing
  • organize work assignments and recommend training, performance evaluations, and discipline for stewards
  • comply with Four Seasons’ work rules and standards of conduct
  • work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
