The role of Area Assistant Executive Steward is a pivotal leadership position within the Operations leadership team, supporting the Culinary and Food & Beverage departments at both Hyatt Regency Seattle and Hyatt at Olive 8. In this capacity, the Area Assistant Executive Steward partners closely with the Area Executive Steward to champion stewarding operations and ensure high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the kitchen and all food and beverage service areas. This role requires overseeing the daily functions of the stewarding department, managing stewarding staff, maintaining proper care and maintenance of equipment, and supporting overall food and beverage quality standards. A significant focus of the position is on maintaining hygiene and safety compliance in alignment with health regulations while working collaboratively with other departments to enhance the guest experience. The Area Assistant Executive Steward is instrumental in driving operational efficiency and supporting a seamless flow of culinary services. This dynamic role includes responsibilities such as supervising the washing and sanitation processes, facilitating team communication, implementing best practices in stewarding, and ensuring all safety standards are consistently met. Compensation for this position falls within a competitive salary range of $80,170 to $103,300, subject to factors such as experience, qualifications, and education. Job Requirements

  • Minimum experience in stewarding or related food & beverage roles
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push approximately 50 pounds
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid Food Handler's Card
  • Strong focus on hygiene and safety
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
