The Stewarding Supervisor role at Kelber Catering is a key supervisory position within the stewarding department. This role entails overseeing and directing the stewarding staff to ensure the timely completion of cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance duties throughout various catering and kitchen areas. The supervisor will assign daily responsibilities to the stewarding team, ensuring a high-level standard of performance, dress code compliance, and professional attitude. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with other department managers. The Stewarding Supervisor must be proficient in interpreting function and pull sheets, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions consistent with State Health Department standards. Responsible for scheduling union staff according to the collective bargaining agreement and business needs, this role also includes training new employees and monitoring meal breaks and work compliance. This position offers an hourly wage with eligibility for performance-based quarterly incentive bonuses, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding excellence and dedication. The ideal candidate will be experienced in cleaning service operations, preferably within the food and beverage industry, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent with fluency in English, bilingual abilities preferred. Job Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years experience in cleaning service industry
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Capable of walking long distances, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Bilingual preferred
- Must maintain pleasant and professional disposition
- Knowledge of State Health department cleaning and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure the timely completion of all stewarding department duties including cleaning and sanitation of all catering areas, cleaning floors and floor drains in kitchens and bake shops, maintaining outer kitchen hallways, cleaning cooking equipment and serving carts, preparing beverages such as coffee, punch, and iced tea, timely execution and delivery of food items based on function or pull sheets, accurately overseeing pull sheet execution and delivery, monitoring and maintaining garbage, recycling, and waste bins, scheduling union stewards according to the collective bargaining agreement and business needs, training newly hired stewards on procedures and policies, directing and supervising union steward work duties, checking in staff and monitoring meal periods and breaks, interpreting function sheets and stewarding responsibilities, reading and completing banquet pull sheets, demanding high-quality service and professional behavior from staff, conducting shift walk-throughs at shift start and end, assisting in inventory of china and equipment, assisting in scheduling maintenance of kitchen equipment, maintaining work areas clean, safe, and sanitary at all times, maintaining a pleasant and courteous disposition when dealing with staff and clients, handling emergency situations in accordance with company guidelines
