Job Duties

  • operating dishwashing machines
  • hand washing pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils/equipment
  • cleaning and maintaining equipment
  • completing other special cleaning projects as assigned
  • working an eight-hour shift in hot, noisy, damp, and sometimes close conditions
  • working cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • using correct cleaning chemicals for designated items according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
  • setting up and organizing workstations with designated supplies and equipment, reporting shortages to the supervisor
  • checking the working condition of the dishwashing machine in accordance with specifications and rectifying any differences
  • filling the dishwashing machine with specified amounts of designated chemicals
  • monitoring the usage of dishwashing machines and chemicals to ensure efficient use of water and chemicals
