This particular opportunity is a Full Time Seasonal position as a Steward or Dishwasher at one of Hyatt's beautiful hotel locations, featuring an unobstructed view of the ocean in Southern California. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware. The position requires individuals who enjoy a fast-paced work environment and who can provide authentic and memorable experiences reflecting the Southern California Dream to guests. The hourly rate for this role is $21.50 per hour.

The Steward or Dishwasher will play a critical role in ensuring that all dining utensils and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use, enabling smooth and efficient food service for guests. This individual must demonstrate good communication skills and the physical ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights throughout the day. The role involves constant interaction with customers and team members, requiring a positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong work ethic. Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry, the daily tasks may be adjusted to meet business needs, providing opportunities to learn and grow within the team.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in cleaning or kitchen stewarding is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware
  • Use proper cleaning techniques and equipment to ensure sanitation
  • Lift, pull, and push moderate weight as required
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff
  • Assist with stocking and organizing kitchen supplies
  • Follow health and safety regulations
